Job summary

UW Medical Center-Montlake is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for the 4S Outpatient Infusion unit. This supervisory role reports to the Nurse Manager and leads a dedicated outpatient team to deliver high-quality infusion care.

You will coordinate staffing, oversee patient care, mentor staff, and ensure adherence to workflows and safety standards. A current WA RN license, BLS, and infusion experience are required; leadership experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of medical-surgical, infusion, or ambulatory nursing experience.
• Previous lead, supervisory, or management experience.
• Strong IV skills.
• Active RN license to practice in Washington State.
• Active BLS certification.
• Ability to coach and develop staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervises day-to-day clinic operations.
• Oversees patient care delivery and staff development.
• Promotes safe, effective, and coordinated care and quality improvement.
• Manages staffing, scheduling, and workflow; resolves operational issues.
• Provides coaching and education; supports professional development.
• When needed, provides direct patient care following RN standards.
