Job summary

Healix Infusion Therapy in Houston, TX is seeking a Full-Time Infusion Nurse to coordinate and administer patient care in our Infectious Disease Infusion Center. You will prepare medications, access PICC lines, educate patients and caregivers, and monitor treatment safety and outcomes in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN or ADN, 2+ years RN experience (critical care or infusion preferred), and an active Texas nursing license with BLS.

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN required or preferred.
• 2+ years’ RN experience in a clinical setting.
• Critical care or outpatient/home infusion experience preferred.
• Current Texas RN license and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate new patient admissions with the nursing and business offices.
• Access PICC lines and prepare IV medications in infusion center.
• Educate patients and caregivers on infusion drug therapy information.
• Monitor patient treatment, safety and outcomes and document care.
• Coordinate scheduling, charting, inventory and follow-up with physicians.
