Job summary

The Good Samaritan Cancer Center in Kearney, Nebraska is seeking an Infusion Nurse to administer IV therapies and medications safely and effectively. You will assess patient needs, manage infusion devices, prepare and deliver medications, educate patients, and monitor for complications.

Ideal candidates hold a Nebraska RN license, are graduates of an accredited nursing program, and possess BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Current Nebraska RN license.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• BLS certification from AHA.
• OCN or CCHEMOP within 6 months from start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and evaluate outcomes.
• Collaborate with specialists as needed and adjust nursing care.
• Perform head-to-toe assessments and reassessments.
• Assess and educate on pain management.
• Maintain medical equipment and sanitation after use.
• Document patient histories, conditions, treatments and changes.
