Job summary

A leading healthcare provider is seeking an Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team in Austin, Texas. This full-time position offers a structured schedule with no weekends or major holidays. Ideal candidates will have a BSN and at least two years of chemotherapy infusion experience.

Qualifications

Job description

We are hiring for an Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team! This is a full-time Monday - Friday (hours 8:30am-5pm) position with no weekends, call, or major holidays.

Overview
  1. Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote the continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
  2. Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and other instructional material.
  3. Prepare and administer therapies under the direction and supervision of a physician.
  4. Administer all medications/blood products using correct medication/blood product, dosage/amount, route, time and technique.
  5. Ensure pre-authorization and appropriate consent forms are obtained prior to therapy administration where applicable.
  6. Facilitate dose modification by assessing patient, labs, protocol or treatment plan, calculating dose, and consulting physician regarding dosage and symptom management.
  7. Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central line catheter devices.
Required Qualifications
  1. Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred.
  2. Minimum 2 years of chemotherapy infusion experience.
  3. Current chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certification.
  4. Current RN state license with the State Board of Nursing in Texas.
  5. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
