We are hiring for an Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team! This is a full-time Monday - Friday (hours 8:30am-5pm) position with no weekends, call, or major holidays.
Overview
- Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote the continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
- Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and other instructional material.
- Prepare and administer therapies under the direction and supervision of a physician.
- Administer all medications/blood products using correct medication/blood product, dosage/amount, route, time and technique.
- Ensure pre-authorization and appropriate consent forms are obtained prior to therapy administration where applicable.
- Facilitate dose modification by assessing patient, labs, protocol or treatment plan, calculating dose, and consulting physician regarding dosage and symptom management.
- Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central line catheter devices.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of chemotherapy infusion experience.
- Current chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certification.
- Current RN state license with the State Board of Nursing in Texas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
