Job summary

UNC Health's Infusion Eastowne Center in Chapel Hill is hiring a Nursing Assistant II for full-time, on-site work. The role supports IV therapies, patient care, and coordination with physicians and nurses.

Training and patient education are key components, with relocation assistance available for the right candidate. Qualified applicants should have a nursing assistant license in NC, BLS, and at least six months of experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Licensed as Nursing Assistant II with NC Board of Nursing is required.
• Listed as Nursing Assistant I with NC DHHS is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and other health care providers with routine examinations and procedures, and procure equipment and supplies.
• Provide administrative and clerical support including PI audits and data entry.
• Provide clinical support: clean work area, maintain equipment, troubleshoot software/hardware, change linen, check inventory, restock supplies, transport patients, supplies, specimens, and orient new staff/students.
• Provide direct personal care to patients per plan of care activities: bathing, dressing, feeding, ambulation assistance; measure vital signs and patient measurements; may perform specimen collection and basic wound care.
• Reinforce teaching given by RN/physician and document patient understanding; distribute education materials upon request.
