Specialty Infusion Center in Marquette, MI is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our infusion center team. You will greet patients, assist with check-in, take vitals, and support nursing staff in a collaborative outpatient setting.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, current MA certification, and BLS. Experience in an outpatient or infusion environment is preferred, with EHR proficiency and strong patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent qualifications accepted by the organization.
• Current Medical Assistant certification or equivalent training.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within required timeframe.
• Experience in outpatient clinics or infusion centers preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Experience with electronic health records and clinical documentation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with check-in and rooming.
• Greet patients, assist with check-in and rooming, and help create a welcoming, comfortable environment.
• Obtain and document vital signs, height, weight, and other routine clinical information.
• Review and update patient information, including medication lists and allergies.
• Assist patients with mobility, positioning, comfort during visits.
• Support nurses and staff with delegated tasks within MA scope.
• Prepare, clean, and maintain infusion areas and equipment.
• Monitor and maintain clinical supplies and inventory.
• Assist with scheduling, calls, registration, and follow-up appointments.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR.
• Communicate patient concerns to licensed staff.
• Follow HIPAA and safety standards.
