Job summary

Marquette General Hospital is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) - Medical Specialist to join the clinic team in Marquette, MI. The role emphasizes direct patient care, basic diagnostics, specimen collection, and administrative duties within a busy clinic setting.

Applicants should have a High School diploma and be a Registered Medical Student or Certified Medical Assistant. BLS-HCP and 1 year of related experience are preferred, with a focus on compassionate patient support and efficient clinic

Qualifications

• High School diploma and be a Registered Medical Student or Certified Medical Assistant.
• Additional requirements include: critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• One-year related experience, preferred; one-year clinic experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and individualized care to clinic patients.
• Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection; monitors and communicates changes in patient condition.
• Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning and troubleshooting; maintains examination areas.
• Performs administrative or clerical duties such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
