Job summary

Advocate Infusion Center - Libertyville is seeking a Medical Assistant (PRN/Part-time) to support the care team in a fast-paced oncology/hematology setting. You will welcome patients, take vitals, assist during exams, document in the EHR, and prepare clinical workflows under supervision.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and a medical assistant diploma or 2 years MA experience, or MA certification with 2 years experience; phlebotomy skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a medical assistant diploma or 2 years of medical assistant experience or be a certified MA with 2 years of medical assistant experience, to qualify.
• Phlebotomy skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
