Job summary

Atlantic Health seeks a Manager of Outpatient Infusion to provide clinical, operational, and administrative leadership of the infusion services. You will ensure safety, staff development, and regulatory compliance while partnering with physicians and pharmacy to optimize patient care.

You will oversee daily operations, recruit and mentor staff, and drive quality improvement and patient satisfaction in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• BSN is required.
• RN license in New Jersey is required.
• Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Certification required.
• OCN certification preferred.
• Minimum five years of progressive nursing experience.
• Recent oncology/hematology nursing experience required.
• Leadership experience in infusion/oncology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Outpatient Infusion department.
• Direct the daily operations of the infusion center, including staffing, scheduling, and productivity.
• Recruit, interview, hire, mentor, coach, and evaluate clinical staff.
• Lead orientation, competency assessment, ongoing education, and performance development programs.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacy, Infection Prevention, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize workflows.
• Oversee safe administration of chemotherapy and biologic therapies.
• Develop, implement, and monitor quality improvement initiatives focused on patient safety and operational excellence.
• Monitor quality metrics and patient outcome data to drive improvements.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards, EOC, Infection Prevention, OSHA, and regulations.
• Maintain policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines to support best practices.
• Partner with pharmacy leadership for safe medication management and infusion protocols.
• Promote patient safety through infection prevention, medication safety, and emergency preparedness.
• Manage budgets, expenses, supply utilization, and capital equipment planning.
• Analyze staffing needs and productivity to maximize efficiency.
• Lead initiatives to improve patient access and reduce wait times.
• Foster relationships with clinicians and leadership to support growth and strategic initiatives.
• Communicate across teams and resolve operational challenges.
