Job summary

Addison Group is seeking a Systems Administrator in Wood Dale, IL. The role focuses on maintaining and modernizing IT infrastructure across manufacturing and office environments, with hands-on work in networking, servers, and endpoint management.

Expect varied duties spanning Windows, AD, security, and Microsoft 365 services. The successful candidate will troubleshoot complex issues, own projects, and collaborate with Help Desk, IT security, and vendors to improve reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in systems or network administration or similar IT role.
• Strong Windows Server and Windows desktop experience.
• Hands-on Active Directory administration.
• Experience with Microsoft 365/M365 environments.
• Experience with Cisco networking equipment and wireless.
• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, wireless.
• Help Desk or end-user support experience.
• Familiarity with ticketing platforms; Attera preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work across multiple IT domains and communicate well.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain a 100% Windows-based IT environment.
• Manage Windows Servers, desktops, AD, and Group Policy.
• Update OS, patching, maintenance, and system upgrades.
• Troubleshoot servers, workstations, applications, and infrastructure issues.
• Configure and maintain Cisco switches and wireless infrastructure.
• Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues.
• Support Microsoft 365, Intune configurations, and security policies.
• Provide occasional Help Desk assistance and end-user support.
• Maintain system documentation and network diagrams.
