Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State in San Diego is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Systems Administrator for the DevSecOps Department within the JMIE Division. The role focuses on secure, resilient infrastructure supporting warfighter capabilities in a multidomain environment.

The candidate will install, configure, and maintain systems, manage authentication services, and ensure compliance with DoD security requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree plus 6+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• U.S. citizen eligible for U.S. government security clearance.
• Experience administering Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Knowledge of DNS/DHCP, LDAP, Kubernetes, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Windows Server, ACAS.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• RMF, CISSP/CISM/Security+ or similar certifications and related accreditation experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, operate, and maintain systems hardware, software, and infrastructure.
• Manage Windows and Linux OS, applications, networks, and switches.
• Configure and manage authentication services and cross-domain access control.
• Build systems from bare metal following accredited baselines.
• Ensure compliance with government security and readiness policies.
