AVANGRID’s NYSEG in Vestal, NY, seeks an Infrastructure Specialist to maintain and support OSG network infrastructure and related standards. The role interfaces with internal teams, vendors, and project managers to deliver secure, compliant, and reliable enterprise services.

The candidate will handle incident response, collaboration with stakeholders, and potential environment changes, while ensuring regulatory compliance and robust security for critical systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience with infrastructure solutions in an enterprise environment.
• BS/BA in Business, Computer Science, or other technical discipline; additional years or certifications may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Ability to collaborate, communicate effectively with customers and colleagues; capable of working in a team or independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely responses to incidents, tasks, and requests to meet SLAs.
• Collaborate with clients, suppliers, project teams and tech staff to design and support technical solutions.
• Plan and implement env changes for improvements or projects.
• Maintain security controls and regulatory compliance for critical SCADA/OSG systems.
• Provide 24x7 on-call support including potential substation visits.

Position requires professional experience with more than one of the following areas:· Data Center Operations, Disaster Recover/Business Continuity Planning & Execution, Security & Compliance Management, Fundamental understanding of UNIX Operating Systems (OS), Linux OS, Microsoft OS, VMware, Citrix.· BS/BA Degree in Business, Computer Science, or other technical discipline.· Will consider additional years of relevant experience and/or related technical certifications in lieu of degree requirement.· Must possess ability to deal collaboratively, diplomatically, and successfully with customers, co‐workers and other professional colleagues, managers, and staff.· Must be able to work effectively in a team environment, as well as work independently with limited supervision.· Must have excellent problem‐solving skills while providing first class customer service.
