Job summary

IBM Infrastructure is hiring a Software Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-class software powering hybrid cloud, storage, and security offerings. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable backends, APIs, and services.

Ideal candidates have strong programming skills (Java, Python, Go, C++, JavaScript) and experience with REST APIs, microservices, and CI/CD. Knowledge of Git, Linux, containers, and distributed systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• Strong programming skills in one or more languages (Java, Python, Go, C++, JavaScript).
• Experience building REST APIs, microservices, or distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Git and Linux environments.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-class software solutions.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment.
• Collaborate with product management, architects, QA, and operations teams.
• Develop scalable, secure, and performant applications and backend components.
• Troubleshoot defects, performance issues, and customer-reported problems.
• Contribute to architecture discussions, design reviews, and code reviews.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, test plans, and procedures.
• Implement automated tests and CI/CD pipelines to improve quality and delivery.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and propose improvements.
• Support agile practices and participate in sprint ceremonies.
