Job summary

Databricks Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer, Infrastructure to own the evolution of core infrastructure and observability platforms in a product-led IT organization.

You will automate cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) with Terraform or Pulumi, deploy containerized workloads using Kubernetes, and build robust CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions. The role emphasizes security, reliability, cost-optimization, and high availability, with opportunities to develop internal tooling and contribute

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with Python.
• IaC experience using Terraform or Pulumi.
• Cloud & containerization experience (AWS/Azure/GCP) with Kubernetes and Docker.
• CI/CD pipeline experience with GitHub Actions.
• Observability foundations with logging, metrics and tracing.
• Experience with Datadog, Prometheus or Grafana.

Responsibilities

• Automate production-grade infrastructure on cloud platforms using Infrastructure as Code.
• Deploy, manage, and scale containerized workloads with Kubernetes.
• Build and maintain robust deployment pipelines with GitHub Actions.
• Develop and promote an observable-by-default infrastructure strategy.
• Create internal CLI tools and automation scripts to improve developer productivity.
• Collaborate with Security, Engineering, Infrastructure and Support teams.
