Job summary

Databricks in the United States is seeking a Software Engineer, Infrastructure to own core infrastructure and observability platforms. You will bridge software engineering and systems architecture to deliver scalable, cost-optimized AWS-based solutions with strong automation.

You will automate deployments, manage containerized workloads with Kubernetes, and build reliable CI/CD pipelines while advancing observability through logging, metrics, and tracing.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with Python.
• Experience with IaC using Terraform or Pulumi.
• Production workloads on AWS or similar cloud; Kubernetes and Docker basics.
• CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or comparable tools.
• Familiarity with observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).

Responsibilities

• Automate and deploy production-grade infrastructure leveraging IaC on cloud platforms.
• Deploy, manage, and scale containerized workloads with Kubernetes.
• Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Advance observable-by-default frameworks with proper logging, metrics and tracing.
• Develop internal tools and automation scripts to streamline workflows.
• Collaborate with Security, Engineering, Infrastructure, and Support teams.
• Document runbooks, triage guides, and onboard teammates.
