Job summary

Leeds Trinity University in Horsforth is seeking an experienced Solution Designer to translate business needs into secure, scalable IT solutions across infrastructure, cloud and networks. You will work with stakeholders and infrastructure teams to design and deliver integrated solutions within a complex technology landscape and Agile delivery context.

This on-campus role offers remote working opportunities within an agile framework, with a starting salary £47,389 to £56,535 per annum (pro rata)

Qualifications

• Experience designing complex IT solutions in large, diverse organisations.
• Strong background in infrastructure, cloud and network technologies.
• Ability to translate business requirements into secure, scalable solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and documentation skills.
• Solid understanding of enterprise architecture, system integration and governance.
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments; higher education or similar complex organisations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end technology solutions that align with business and strategic objectives.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and specifications.
• Develop and maintain solution architecture documentation, standards and blueprints.
• Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, resilient and integrated with existing systems.
• Provide technical leadership throughout the solution lifecycle, from concept through to implementation.
• Collaborate with developers, infrastructure specialists and delivery teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend appropriate tools and platforms.
• Conduct risk assessments and support the development of mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to gather requirements and validate solution approaches.
• Support Agile delivery and promote continuous improvement and innovation.
