Job summary

Iceberg is hiring an Infrastructure & Security Engineer to become the first dedicated hire across Infrastructure, DevOps and Security. You will work directly with the CTO to define the platform strategy as the company scales.

Responsibilities include migrating legacy infrastructure to AWS, establishing security procedures, and automating SOC 2–related processes while building robust CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience across infrastructure, DevOps and/or security.
• Strong AWS and cloud infrastructure experience.
• Experience with Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD.
• Security-first mindset, ideally in regulated B2B SaaS, fintech or similar.
• Generalist who can operate beyond a single area.
• Strong ownership and ability to build in an early-stage environment.

Location: NYC - 4 days in office. Hybrid available in Atlanta.

I’m working with a high-growth, AI-native fintech that is building infrastructure to modernise a highly regulated industry.

Only 4 years old, this company is already working with major enterprise customers across the US and they’ve recently raised a significant Series A and are continuing to scale rapidly.

It’s a lean engineering organisation where early hires have significant ownership and the opportunity to build functions from the ground up.

The Role

They’re looking for an Infrastructure & Security Engineer to become the first dedicated hire across Infrastructure, DevOps and Security.

Working directly with the CTO, you’ll own the platform function and define the infrastructure and security strategy as the company scales.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Migrating legacy infrastructure into AWS and improving the existing cloud architecture
• Establishing infrastructure, security procedures, policies and tooling from the ground up
• Automating and maintaining the security programme, including SOC 2, AI policies and incident response
• Building and improving CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows and developer tooling
• Embedding security best practices across the engineering organisation
• Advising the CTO and wider leadership team on infrastructure and security decisions
