Job summary

Dallas City Hall seeks a Project Coordinator I to provide technical and administrative support for paving, drainage, water, wastewater, and floodplain projects, ensuring compliance with city codes and standards.

You will coordinate permitting, plan reviews, and stakeholder communications, guiding multiple teams to on-time project delivery while maintaining safety and quality across infrastructure initiatives.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Four years of experience managing public sector projects or construction-related activities.
Experience preparing, administering, negotiating contracts for public sector or engineering projects.
Education equivalencies acceptable with related experience.

Responsibilities

Coordinate projects, oversee permitting, and maintain open communications across departments and contractors.
Lead plans examiners and ensure accurate reviews and zoning compliance.
Participate in team meetings reviewing multi-million dollar utility projects and address obstacles.
Review plans for zoning compliance and manage permit issuance and related requirements.
Ensure contract compliance, manage insurance documents, and confirm alignment with scope.
Visit work sites to ensure safe workflow and effective coordination among parties.
Attend meetings to discuss construction issues and facilitate collaboration.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
