Job summary

Blacklock Financial, in partnership with a leading infrastructure fund, seeks an Associate to support senior team in the deal process from screening to portfolio management.

Ideal candidates have 1–4 years in investment banking, strong modelling skills, and an interest in energy transition and infrastructure investments. The role involves due diligence, presenting to the Investment Committee, and representing the firm at industry events.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of investment banking experience.
• Strong technical and analytical skills with a passion for energy transition and infrastructure investing.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.

Responsibilities

• Screen, evaluate and analyse investment opportunities to form independent views on attractiveness.
• Lead financial modelling including valuation and sensitivity analyses to identify differentiators.
• Support due diligence actions with third-party providers.
• Assist in preparing internal materials and present investment recommendations to the Investment Committee.
• Collaborate with portfolio companies, monitoring financial results and performance.
• Lead research to identify investment themes and opportunities.
• Represent the firm at industry events and conferences.
• Maintain proprietary investment database and related records.
• Contribute to execution of the fund's investment mandate.
