Job summary

The City of Rock Hill is seeking a full-time Permitting Coordinator to manage infrastructure permitting within land development projects. This role works independently, coordinating reviews across departments and communicating with developers.

Requires an Associate’s degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field and at least two years of relevant local government experience; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years minimum civil or related field experience.
• Familiarity with land development permitting processes.
• Knowledge of building codes and permitting procedures.

Responsibilities

• Explain infrastructure permitting processes to contractors and property owners.
• Coordinate reviews of Civil plans and permits with City staff.
• Verify licensure requirements for site contractors.
• Coordinate state agency approvals for infrastructure permits.
• Attend pre-construction meetings and document summaries.
