Position: Infrastructure Management - Level II

Location: Rosslyn, VA

Clearance: Secret

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain servers, storage systems, and network devices to support organizational needs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues to ensure minimal downtime.
• Monitor and optimize system performance and resource utilization.
• Implement system upgrades, migrations, and new deployments.
• Maintain system security by configuring firewalls, access controls, and encryption protocols.
• Document infrastructure architecture, configurations, and procedures.
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate infrastructure systems with other technologies.
• Conduct regular audits of systems to ensure compliance with organizational policies.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff and end users; stay updated on emerging infrastructure technologies and recommend improvements.

Professional Qualifications/Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT infrastructure or systems engineering.
• Proficiency in managing Windows and/or Linux server environments.
• Familiarity with virtualization platforms, such as VMware, Hyper‑V, or cloud‑based solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and firewalls.
• Experience with enterprise storage systems and backup solutions.
• Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or CompTIA Server+, are preferred.
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills; ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong communication skills to interact with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
