Job summary

InfoWest is hiring an Infrastructure Location Technician to locate and mark fiber optic lines and support construction projects. You will update mapping software and use locators daily, ensuring accuracy and safety.

Outdoor work in varying weather is required, with a typical Monday–Friday schedule. Strong communication helps you explain technical details to customers and coordinate with crews and dispatchers.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and perform physically demanding outdoor work.
• Basic knowledge of networking and mapping systems is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical details to customers.

Position:

Infrastructure Location Technician

As an Internet Location Technician you will be responsible for locating and marking InfoWest utilities and fiber lines to avoid being hit during construction. Use of multiple software programs will be integrated into everyday use as well as fiber mapping systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Work Environment:

• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions (heat, snow, wind, rain)


• Regular face-to-face interaction with customers to ensure a positive experience


• Typical schedule: Monday - Friday 8 am to 5 pm


• Will require work in various locations throughout the day.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
