The Infrastructure & IT Operations Manager I leads enterprise infrastructure and technology operations, ensuring reliable, secure delivery of server, endpoint, virtual desktop, voice/telephony, and infrastructure automation services.
This role provides hands-on technical leadership for Cisco and IPC voice platforms, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), Microsoft SCCM/MECM, and Microsoft System Center Orchestrator. The Manager leads incident response and service restoration, coordinates infrastructure projects and maintenance, and partners with Network Administrators, Help Desk, IT Development, Information Security, application teams, main-office support groups, vendors, and end users.
The position supports Bank and Securities entities, including Trading Floor operations, and is responsible for configuration management, change control, technical standards, documentation, operational procedures, and Disaster Recovery readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily Infrastructure & IT Operations activities, prioritize work, coordinate technical resources, mentor staff, and provide escalation support.
- Ensure enterprise infrastructure services remain available, stable, secure, and within established service expectations.
- Manage enterprise VoIP and telephony, including Cisco Unified Communications / CallManager and IPC Unigy voice/trading platforms and endpoints.
- Manage enterprise VDI, including Nutanix / VMware Horizon or comparable platforms, covering availability, performance, capacity, image management, upgrades, and end-user experience.
- Administer Microsoft SCCM/MECM for endpoint configuration, software distribution, operating-system deployment, patching, collections, reporting, compliance, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management.
- Develop and maintain Microsoft System Center Orchestrator (SCORCH) runbooks, integrations, and workflow automation for provisioning, service requests, repetitive tasks, and operational remediation.
- Maintain infrastructure security controls, including permissions, accounts, open ports, antivirus/EDR, patching, hardening, backups, audit logging, and production controls.
- Monitor system, application, voice, VDI, and infrastructure logs and proactively identify potential service-impacting issues.
- Install, configure, upgrade, troubleshoot, and manage lifecycle replacement of enterprise hardware and software.
- Maintain Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Windows Server, Windows workstations, and related Microsoft infrastructure services.
- Maintain configuration management and change control across infrastructure, virtualization, voice, VDI, endpoint, and automation platforms.
- Lead troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, problem management, and corrective/preventive actions.
- Monitor performance, capacity, reliability, and resiliency and provide operational and management reporting.
- Research and recommend infrastructure products, services, standards, automation opportunities, and technology refresh initiatives.
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, diagrams, technical standards, operational runbooks, training plans, and Disaster Recovery documentation.
- Coordinate incidents, service restoration, maintenance, upgrades, migrations, patch cycles, and projects with internal teams and vendors.
- Support infrastructure asset management, licensing, support contracts, budgeting, capacity planning, vendor management, and technology roadmaps.
- Provide clear technical and management communication during incidents, changes, projects, audits, and stakeholder reviews.

Qualifications
Required Experience
- 10+ years of hands-on enterprise infrastructure, systems, network, voice, or IT operations experience with progressive responsibility.
- Experience leading technical staff, coordinating operational priorities, managing escalations, and delivering infrastructure projects or services.
- Strong hands-on experience with enterprise telephony and VoIP, including Cisco Unified Communications / CallManager and IPC Unigy or related IPC voice platforms. Trading Floor voice experience strongly preferred.
- Strong enterprise VDI experience, preferably Nutanix / VMware Horizon, including performance, capacity, image, profile, endpoint, and availability troubleshooting.
- Strong SCCM/MECM experience, including software deployment, patching, collections, endpoint configuration, reporting, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on Microsoft System Center Orchestrator experience, including runbooks, integrations, and automated infrastructure workflows.
- Proven experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, virtualization, networking, monitoring, backup/recovery, and infrastructure security controls.
- Experience supporting highly available production environments. Financial services, securities, or Trading Floor experience preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, incident-management, and problem-resolution skills.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience required.
- Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, ITIL, or infrastructure certifications preferred.
Technical & Professional Skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, applications, and infrastructure services, including Windows Server, Windows workstation, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, SCCM/MECM, and System Center Orchestrator.
- Strong technical knowledge of Cisco VoIP / Unified Communications and IPC voice technologies, including call routing, endpoints, voice services, troubleshooting, and vendor escalation.
- Strong working knowledge of VDI, including hypervisors, brokers, images, profiles, storage, network dependencies, capacity, and end-user performance.
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalls, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and enterprise network troubleshooting.
- Hands-on hardware and software troubleshooting experience, including leadership during high-priority production incidents.
- Experience with automation and scripting; PowerShell strongly preferred in addition to System Center Orchestrator.
- Ability to develop and maintain policies, procedures, diagrams, operational runbooks, standards, training plans, and Disaster Recovery documentation.
- Strong project execution, prioritization, vendor-management, and change-management skills.

The role operates in a fast-paced office and Trading Floor environment, including server, network, voice/telecommunications, and electrical equipment facilities. The position requires the ability to manage stress and production-impacting events, with general mobility around office and technology environments and extended periods of sitting. Occasional handling or transport of computer and telecommunications equipment may be required.
The Manager interacts with Infrastructure & IT Operations staff, Network Administrators, Help Desk, IT Development, Information Security, application owners, business units, management, consultants, third-party vendors, and end users. Responsibilities include vendor coordination, purchasing and licensing recommendations, budgeting, capacity planning, technology lifecycle management, and operational planning.

With respect to this position in our New York Office, the expected base salary ranges from $185,000 to $200,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
