Job summary

Cigna-Evernorth Services Inc. in Raleigh, NC is looking for an Infrastructure Engineering Senior Advisor to provide counsel to top management on major infrastructure matters and to coordinate across organizations.

You will lead the design, analysis, development and implementation of engineering infrastructure solutions for complex business projects, troubleshoot diverse issues, and act as the primary vendor contact when needed; hybrid work schedule offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field with 5 years of experience.
• Experience with Linux, Windows, Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with AWS and data replication tools like Oracle GoldenGate and Qlik Replicate.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, engineering and development of IT infrastructure solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Coordinate cross-organization efforts and provide thought leadership across disciplines.

Cigna-Evernorth Services Inc. seeks an Infrastructure Engineering Senior Advisor for the Raleigh, NC location to provide counsel and advice to top management on significant Infrastructure matters, often requiring coordination between organizations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead technical consultant responsible for design, engineering and development of information technology solutions.
• Lead the design, analysis, development and implementation of engineering infrastructure solutions of projects and/or work requests for complex business solutions.
• Troubleshoot and proceed on resolving complex infrastructure compatibility issues based on system architecture, project requirements, customer expectations, etc.
• May be involved in the creation of design specifications and the development and application of utility programs and may resolve escalated infrastructure compatibility problems as they arise.
• Responsibilities may include risks assessments, partnering on capacity planning, budget forecasting, and the diagnosis and correction of application/network problems.
• May serve as the primary contact for vendors.
• Technologies span mainframe, midrange, desktop, server, network data, voice, messaging, web, database, and output/receiving.
• Focus on providing thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines.
• Recognized internally as “the go-to person” for the most complex Infrastructure Engineering assignments.
• Hybrid work schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field and 5 years of experience. Will accept a Master’s degree and 3 years of experience.
• Must have experience with: software development; platform engineering; Linux; Windows; Oracle; PostgreSQL;
• Database performance tuning; AWS; data replication tools including Oracle GoldenGate and Qlik Replicate;
• Splunk; Dynatrace; service metrics dashboard creation;
• Product lifecycle management; product upgrades;
• Troubleshooting data mismatch issues; hybrid cloud environment management; network encryption setup; and security compliance.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
