Qualifications

• Demonstrated working knowledge of IBM z/OS operating system and RACF security.
• Hands-on experience supporting z/OS in large-scale environments.
• Proven ability to develop tools, standards, and methodologies for managing z/OS environments.
• Advanced problem-detection and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience with mainframe hardware and data center facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering and operational support for the z/OS platform.
• Design, develop, and implement systems engineering solutions with limited oversight.
• Serve as technical resource and provide direction for initiatives and operational activities.
• Perform problem determination and root-cause analysis for z/OS issues.
• Install, configure, test, maintain, and support z/OS and subsystem software.
• Provide system-level support for multi-user environments ensuring stability and recoverability.
• Collaborate with networking, storage, security, and application teams for reliable integration.
• Create and maintain system, configuration, and troubleshooting documentation.
