Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a senior automation specialist for IBM System Automation Z/OS and related tooling. You will design infrastructure tools, develop templates and automation to support deployments, and improve efficiency while embracing innovation and continuous improvement.

The role requires deep Mainframe z/OS knowledge, REXX and PIPES programming, and the ability to communicate across technical and management audiences.

Qualifications

• This position requires after-hours, weekend and holiday hours.
• This role requires a minimum of 7 years' experience with Mainframe z/OS.
• LPAR experience is required.
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables with varying timelines.
• Mainframe REXX programming and Pipes knowledge.
• Knowledge of IBM System Automation Z/OS.

Responsibilities

• Provide SME consulting on technologies and ensure solutions comply with standards.
• Translate business requirements into technical definitions and playbooks.
• Evaluate reference models and blueprints for fit.
• Develop software solutions to address manual or inefficient processes.
• Conduct on-site evaluations of third-party products considered for adoption.
• Foster an inclusive, healthy work environment and remove blockers.
• Create functional and non-functional product evaluation requirements.
