Job summary

HNTB Corporation invites engineering students to join our North Carolina offices as interns working with Civil/Structures teams on real projects in Charlotte and Raleigh. You will assist engineers with research, drawings, and documentation while applying introductory engineering concepts in a collaborative, inclusive environment.

We value basic math, problem-solving and strong MS Office proficiency, and prefer prior AutoCAD or MicroStation exposure. Relocation is not provided for this internship.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED plus current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary engineering program.
• Understands engineering, geometric, and algebraic principles at a basic level.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• AutoCAD and/or MicroStation experience preferred.
• Two years of post-secondary engineering program completion preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists engineer teams in various tasks and duties.
• Assists Engineer with research, development and design of projects.
• Assists Engineer with the preparation of engineering drawings and documents as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
