This is a professional (working) level position responsible for maintaining the operation of select WAN and Optical related network services according to higher education system policies and procedures. The position coordinates and implements network software and hardware upgrades of varying complexity. The position troubleshoots and resolves WAN/Optical performance, connectivity, and related network problems of varying complexity. This position is based on-site and does not offer remote work options.
The position is critical as it supports students and staff across all University System of Georgia (USG) and Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) institutions. The Infrastructure Engineer ensures that the technological needs of these stakeholders are met efficiently, contributing to a seamless educational and administrative experience.
