Infrastructure Engineer (Virtualization)

The Opportunity:

Join CACI as an Infrastructure Engineer (Virtualization), SME to lead virtualization efforts within the Architecture & Engineering (A&E) team for USSTRATCOM. You will design and manage virtual environments, integrate site-specific technologies, and drive infrastructure modernization, delivering mission-critical IT capabilities in a dynamic environment. Experience with DoDAF, particularly transitioning to UAF, and Nettrain is a plus for aligning with DoD standards and training systems. The work location is Omaha, Nebraska, with the position contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, implement, and manage virtualization technologies and environments to optimize IT infrastructure and resource utilization.
2. Configure and maintain virtual machines and manage hypervisors.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to virtualization infrastructure, including performance and connectivity problems.
4. Assist with the integration of site-specific hardware, firmware, and software into the RBS baseline.
5. Design and implement virtualization systems and network improvements as required.
6. Identify redundant systems and operational costs that do not impact system availability and security.
7. Provide technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments.
8. Possess domain and expert technical knowledge.
9. Supervise others as needed.

Qualifications:

Required:

1. BA/BS + 10 years of relevant experience OR equivalent education and experience.
2. Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
3. 8140 Certification such as CEH, CFR, Cloud+, SSCP, PenTest+, Security+, GSEC, or an applicable degree or training.
4. Certification within 6 months: VMware Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV), VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX), or Red Hat Certified Engineer in Virtualization (RHCE-V).
5. Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
6. Proven leadership in virtualization initiatives in mission-critical environments.

The proposed salary range for this position is: $90,700 - $199,600
