Job summary

StackAdroitLLP is building a private, production-grade server infrastructure and seeks an Infrastructure Engineer to architect and deploy a fully self-hosted environment on Dell servers, enterprise storage, and internal networking hardware. You will lead the buildout of the physical and network layer of our stack.

Responsibilities include configuring Dell PowerEdge servers, setting up storage and networking, deploying Linux-based OS, and collaborating with DevOps for container readiness.

Qualifications

• Dell enterprise hardware experience (R750/R760 preferred).
• Deep knowledge of RAID, SSD/NVMe, and BOSS controllers.
• Strong Linux system administration (Ubuntu/Debian or RHEL).
• Networking: VLANs, LAG, IP planning, and switch/firewall configuration.
• Experience with patch panels, rack layouts, and cable management.
• Familiarity with pfSense, Unifi, or managed L2/L3 switches.
• Understanding of enterprise server monitoring and power design.

Responsibilities

• Set up server storage (NVMe RAID, ZFS, BOSS boot).
• Configure patch panels, switches, VLANs, and internal cabling.
• Deploy and secure Linux OS (Ubuntu, Proxmox, or RHEL).
• Optimize server performance (thermal, power, fan tuning).
• Set up internal firewalls (pfSense/OPNsense), VPN, and VLAN segmentation.
• Collaborate with DevOps for container readiness (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Document configurations and provide best-practice recommendations.
