Job summary

ESI - Ent. Systems & Infrastructure in Coppell, TX seeks an Infrastructure Engineer II to own and optimize enterprise infrastructure, including on‑prem and cloud environments. This senior role focuses on reliability, scalability, and efficient operation beyond daily tasks.

You will lead troubleshooting, manage VMware and virtualization at scale, and develop automation to reduce manual work using PowerShell or Python. Strong Windows Server and Linux skills and networking knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in infrastructure or systems engineering.
• Advanced Windows Server and strong Linux knowledge.
• Deep experience with VMware and virtualization platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting across systems, networking, and infrastructure layers.
• Scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Python, or similar).
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and infrastructure dependencies.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage critical infrastructure systems across on‑prem and cloud environments.
• Lead complex troubleshooting and perform root-cause analysis.
• Optimize system performance, reliability, and capacity planning.
• Implement improvements to reduce incidents and increase stability.
• Manage and enhance VMware and virtualization platforms at scale.
• Develop and maintain automation for provisioning, patching, and system management.
