You will collaborate with security, networking, and application teams, lead DR testing, and translate findings into remediation plans for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in infrastructure, systems engineering, reliability engineering, or SRE.
• Strong Windows and/or Linux administration experience.
• Experience with VMware/vSphere or enterprise virtualization platforms.
• Experience with disaster recovery, high availability, failover, backup, and resiliency planning.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Experience identifying and remediating operational risks and infrastructure gaps.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess current infrastructure and identify risks, inefficiencies, vulnerabilities, and single points of failure.
• Develop and execute infrastructure resiliency and disaster recovery improvement plans.
• Lead disaster recovery testing, failover validation, and recovery readiness efforts.
• Improve system availability, recoverability, and operational stability.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues across servers, networking, virtualization, storage, operating systems, and applications.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Identify infrastructure technical debt and prioritize remediation efforts.
• Partner with infrastructure, security, networking, and application teams to drive improvements.
• Communicate findings, recommendations, risks, and remediation plans to technical and business stakeholders.

Summary

This person will assess, improve, and modernize the reliability of the client's core infrastructure environment. This role will focus on infrastructure resiliency, disaster recovery readiness, operational stability, vulnerability remediation, and technical debt reduction across a mixed legacy and modern environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong infrastructure background and be comfortable evaluating existing systems, identifying gaps and risks, developing remediation plans, and partnering with technical and business stakeholders to improve overall reliability and recoverability.
