Job summary

PMG Global, Inc. is seeking an Infrastructure Reliability Engineer for the Durham, NC area. The role focuses on maintaining a robust Windows-based infrastructure with an equal emphasis on observability and automation.

Candidates should have 5+ years of IT experience, strong Windows administration skills, and the ability to work an evening/weekend shift. Experience with VMware/OLVM, patching, incident management, and ITSM will be essential to success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT experience with a focus on server and infrastructure operations.
• Strong Windows Administration experience is required.
• Role is approximately 80% Windows Administration / 20% Observability.
• Strong experience troubleshooting Windows OS, hardware, server, and performance issues.
• Experience with VMware and/or Oracle Linux Virtualization Manager (OLVM).
• Experience with patching, security compliance, incident management, and change execution.
• Experience supporting enterprise server and storage infrastructure.
• Knowledge of SAN/NAS/CAS storage is a plus.
• Strong experience with automation, scripting, monitoring, and observability.
• Experience supporting critical production environments and participating in incident calls.
• Understanding of DevOps/EngOps and IT Service Management practices.
• Strong communication, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills.
• Linux experience is a plus but not required.
• Candidates must be able to work the required evening/weekend shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Manage and sustain Windows-based server and infrastructure environments.
• Troubleshoot Windows OS, hardware, server, and performance issues.
• Administrator responsibilities for VMware and OLVM virtualization environments.
• Patch management, security compliance, incident management, and change execution.
• Support enterprise server and storage infrastructure including SAN/NAS/CAS storage.
• Develop and extend automation, scripting, monitoring, and observability capabilities.
• Participate in incident calls for production environments.
• Collaborate with ITSM and EngOps teams to improve reliability.

Shift: Tue-Sat or Sun-Thur, 12:30 PM-9:30 PM ET.
