Avalore, LLC is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to design and integrate the WDP System's underlying infrastructure, focusing on secure, scalable, and resilient cloud solutions. The role covers networking, storage, logging, auditing, and DevSecOps pipelines.
You will architect cloud infrastructure, automate provisioning with Infrastructure as Code, and design high-availability and disaster recovery strategies. Collaboration with security teams and mentoring junior staff are expected.
The Infrastructure Engineer will design, engineer, and integrate the underlying infrastructure of the WDP System. This person will manage the cloud environment, network, data storage, logging and auditing functions, and DevSecOps pipelines. This person will focus on the continuous improvement of the platform's core infrastructure to ensure it is secure, scalable, and resilient. This person will architect and implement cloud-based infrastructure solutions, automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code practices, and design high-availability and disaster recovery solutions. This person will optimize infrastructure performance and cost-efficiency, implement monitoring and alerting systems to ensure infrastructure health, and troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues. This person will collaborate with security teams to implement infrastructure security controls, stay current with cloud service provider offerings and best practices, and mentor junior infrastructure team members.
SECRET Security Clearance Required Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, or SSCP certification (Junior / Journeyman roles) SecurityX / CASP+, CCNP Security, CCSP, FITSP-O, or GFACT certification (for Senior roles)
Good communication skills, self-starter mindset. Professional proficiency in English is required. Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Avalore will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.
Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone and printers) and /or occasional Loud noise (airfield, large equipment). Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.

Salary at Avalore is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combinaition of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. Salary estimates for this job range from $107,000 - $233,000.
