Job summary

AECOM Advisory is seeking a dynamic Economics and Strategy Advisory Consultant to support its growing global Advisory business. This role targets management consultants with a mission-driven focus on economic, environmental, and social vibrancy, serving clients across major metro areas including Raleigh, NC.

In this US East Region position, you will lead microeconomic analysis, build financial models for infrastructure investments, and translate net-zero ambitions into bankable investment cases,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, public policy, finance or related field required.
• 4+ years as economist or quantitatively inclined management consultant.
• Experience in microeconomic modeling and econometrics.
• Experience with funding/financing strategies and public finance.
• Strong numerical reasoning and client-facing consulting skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as principal technical investigator on complex business cases using economic analysis methods.
• Build discounted cash flow models to assess revenue, EBITDA, NPV, IRR, CAGR for client policies, projects and programs.
• Leverage data visualization tools (ArcGIS, Costar, IMPLAN, REMI, Python, Tableau) to derive patterns and insights to inform recommendations.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews with C-suite and senior management stakeholders.
• Outline, supervise and provide quality control over analytical tasks assigned to junior team members.
• Create executive-ready decks and synthesize inputs into cohesive insights across formats.
