Job summary

Quince in Palo Alto is hiring an Infrastructure & DevOps Engineer III to design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infra. You will automate delivery pipelines, implement robust observability, and partner with cross-functional teams to improve system reliability and performance.

Responsibilities include provisioning AWS resources, managing containers with Docker/Kubernetes, and securing deployments. A strong focus on DevOps automation and SDLC efficiency is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Deep working knowledge of AWS cloud services (EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM).
• Strong experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Proven experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS) in production environments.
• Hands-on experience building pipelines using CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or ArgoCD.
• Experience with monitoring/logging platforms like Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
• Strong Linux/Unix networking, load balancing, CDN, and DNS administration.

THE ROLE

Infrastructure & DevOps Engineer III

As a Infrastructure & DevOps Engineer III, you will be a key individual contributor responsible for designing, building, and maintaining stable, secure, and highly scalable cloud infrastructure across development, staging, and production environments. You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to automate delivery pipelines, implement robust observability solutions, and improve overall system availability and performance.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure & Automation: Design, provision, and maintain highly available and resilient infrastructure on AWS using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Build, optimize, and secure continuous delivery and integration pipelines to ensure fast, zero-downtime, and reliable software deployments.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Manage and scale containerized application environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Observability & Monitoring: Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure high availability and proactive incident management.
• Reliability & Performance: Lead capacity planning, automated scaling strategies, disaster recovery testing, and blue-green deployment strategies.
• Security & Best Practices: Enforce security best practices, networking standards, access controls, and data protection across public cloud infrastructure.
• Developer Experience: Automate repetitive operational tasks to empower product teams and reduce developer friction throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Cloud Expertise: Deep working knowledge of AWS cloud services (EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, etc.).
• Infrastructure as Code: Strong experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Containers & Orchestration: Proven experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS) in production environments.
• CI/CD Tools: Hands-on experience building pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or ArgoCD.
• Observability Tools: Experience with monitoring and logging platforms such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack.
• Systems & Networking: Strong understanding of Linux/Unix environments, networking protocols, load balancing, CDN, and DNS administration.
• Databases & Caching: Familiarity managing and supporting databases (e.g., MySQL, DynamoDB) and caching solutions (e.g., Redis).
• Communication: Excellent technical communication and problem-solving skills with a collaborative mindset.

Pay Range: $195,000 - $235,000 base pay + annual bonus + Stock Units

All posted ranges are reflective of base salary and may vary depending upon experience level and location. Bonus and equity may also be provided for eligible roles.
