Job summary

Professional Engineering Consultants in Wichita, KS seeks a Design Engineer to lead design on municipal projects including streets, water and wastewater systems. You will work with internal and external teams to develop engineering solutions and deliver design packages using BIM/CAD and standard PEC methods.

Responsibilities include design and takeoff computations, construction document prep, submittal reviews, and coordination across disciplines while maintaining quality, schedule, and safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in ABET-accredited program is required.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and with others.
• Experience with CAD/BIM software and calculations.

Responsibilities

• Design engineering deliverables for municipal infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate with design staff to develop construction documents and specifications.
• Assist in construction administration including submittal reviews and RFIs.
• Perform design and takeoff computations by hand and computer software.
• Organize multiple projects to meet PEC standards and schedules.
• Communicate effectively with the Design Team.
