Job summary

Bank of America in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and manage enterprise-scale platform services with a strong focus on automation and Infrastructure as Code. You will work with Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD tools to improve reliability, scalability, and deployment efficiency, collaborating with engineering and platform teams.

This role supports a DevOps culture, Linux environments, and container technologies such as Kubernetes and OpenShift

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an Infrastructure Engineer on enterprise platforms.
• 2+ years with Terraform and IaC technologies.
• 2+ years developing Ansible playbooks and automation.
• 2+ years of CI/CD with Git, Jenkins, Ansible Tower.
• 2+ years of DevOps culture and practices.
• Proficiency in Python scripting and Bash.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and deployment of CTI Database Platform services aligned with enterprise architecture standards
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code solutions, including Terraform modules and Ansible playbooks
• Enable highly complex implementations through automation and reusable deployment patterns
• Collaborate with engineering and platform teams to improve service reliability, resiliency, and efficiency
• Promote DevOps best practices, automation-first thinking, and continuous improvement
• Understand and implement database lifecycle management actions into PaaS IaC pipelines

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design and deployment of CTI Database Platform services aligned with enterprise architecture standards

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as an Infrastructure Engineer, supporting enterprise-scale platforms and services
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code technologies
• 2+ years of hands-on experience developing Ansible playbooks and automation
• 2+ years of experience with CI/CD toolchains including Git (Bitbucket preferred), Jenkins, and Ansible Tower
• 2+ years of experience working within a DevOps culture and practices
• Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and tooling
• Proficiency in Bash/Shell scripting

Desired Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Linux operating systems
• Experience with container technologies
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes
• Familiarity with Red Hat OpenShift
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams
