Job summary

Parametrix is seeking a Cost Estimator to join our Advisory Services team in the United States. You will develop conceptual and detailed estimates for infrastructure and public utilities projects, conduct takeoffs, and build cost bases with input from engineers and owners.

Requirements include 4+ years in construction management or engineering with a focus on cost estimating, 2+ years in estimating through design phases, and experience with RS Means Online, Blue Beam, Timberline, and HCSS.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in construction management or engineering with a focus on cost estimating.
• 2+ years estimating through planning and design phases.
• Experience with major estimating tools (RS Means, Blue Beam, Timberline, HCSS).
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as CM/engineering/economics/finance.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a multi-discipline engineering team as a cost estimator.
• Support development of conceptual and detailed estimates.
• Conduct quantity and material takeoffs.
• Build Basis of Cost Estimate from feedback from users, owners, and engineers.
• Perform market research to understand cost drivers for materials and labor.
• Collaborate with clients and team across multiple projects to guide decisions.
