Job summary

THE WORK:
  • Develop and coordinate project schedules based on execution strategies.
  • Review contractor schedules for contract compliance and quality assurance.
  • Assess change orders and amendments for their impact on cost and timelines.
  • Conduct time impact analyses to evaluate delays and claims.
  • Support and participate in change order negotiations.
  • Perform Critical Path Method (CPM) and Earned Value Management (EVM) analyses.
  • Identify schedule-related issues and recommend corrective actions or innovative solutions.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor and report on project progress.
  • Review contractor schedule updates and prepare narratives for management decisions.
  • Evaluate contractor recovery plans and determine schedule feasibility.
  • Perform cost and expenditure analyses to support project phases.
  • Create cost-loaded schedules for accurate cash flow forecasting.
  • Apply contract policies within BuildLACCD guidelines and communicate findings effectively.

Salary range: $158,836 - $174,720 per year. Compensation varies based on factors such as location, role, skills, and experience. In certain states, a legal range is provided as per local law.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • 10+ years of experience in project or program scheduling on large construction projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field. Equivalent experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
  • Proficiency in Primavera Scheduling Software, MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of cost engineering and scheduling principles.
  • Experience with time impact analysis.
  • Experience with construction claims and change orders.
  • Flexibility to work across multiple sites based on schedule and duties.
