Capital Projects Management Associate Manager | Mid-Level | Full-time

This position is based in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and candidates must be willing to relocate or currently reside in Puerto Rico.

A candidate with extensive engineering, construction, project management, and project controls experience who enjoys big-picture thinking and problem-solving. You should have solid knowledge of engineering documentation and information management processes for building and modernizing infrastructure and assets. An interest or experience in digital solutions that enhance client capabilities is preferred. You should be personable, eager to learn new project and product solutions, comfortable supporting meetings and workshops, and capable of assisting with material and content development.

THE WORK:

  • Support a FEMA-funded program to rebuild/repair substations damaged in hurricanes.
  • Assist the Program Manager in managing substation stabilization projects, from transformer replacements to full rebuilds.
  • Coordinate activities across multiple functions to ensure timely and within-budget project completion.
  • Ensure milestones related to siting, permitting, engineering, procurement, and construction are met.
  • Identify opportunities to shorten schedules, reduce costs, and optimize resources to maximize value.
  • Manage project scope, quality, schedule, and financial forecasts for complex, high-risk projects.
  • Oversee finances, cost controls, scheduling, environmental and regulatory compliance, and stakeholder relations.
  • Review contractor invoices, schedules, and change orders for accuracy.
  • Lead project presentations and provide status updates to stakeholders.
  • Ensure team members understand their responsibilities and are equipped to meet project goals.
  • Coach and lead team members in planning, budgeting, and communication strategies.
