Job summary

Accenture seeks a senior cost management professional to lead cost estimation, risk assessment and cost-control activities for complex projects. You will drive value engineering, lifecycle costing and performance reporting across client engagements, including remote and on-site collaboration with teams and leadership.

The role requires deep knowledge of construction processes, advanced CostX usage, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in cost/construction focused field.
• Lead Consultant with 7+ years cost management experience.
• Hyper-scale data centers experience is a plus.
• Thorough knowledge of construction process and management methods.
• Proficient with CostX to produce estimates and bills.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates and cost plans using benchmarking data.
• Develop value engineering and lifecycle costing options.

• You'll prepare cost estimates and cost plans, incorporating benchmarking data for review.
• You'll develop value engineering and life‑cycle costing options to optimize project efficiency.
• You'll identify potential risks and help maintain the project’s Risk Register.
• You'll contribute to pre‑contract process meetings, offering cost‑related insights.
• You'll create and manage cost control reports to track financial performance.
• You'll attend client meetings with senior colleagues and document key discussion points and actions.
• You'll participate in design team meetings, assess cost implications, and implement agreed outcomes.
• You'll assist in developing standardized project templates for consistent documentation.
• You'll prepare and manage change order logs, invoice logs, and detailed cost reports.
• You'll oversee measurements and pricing research for development appraisals and qualification reviews.
• Flexible: The work location for this role will include a mix of working remotely, onsite at a client or in an Accenture office or center.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent - in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Data Analytics or another cost/ construction focused.
• Lead Consultant: 7+ years of cost management experience.
• Experience working in hyper‑scale data centers is a plus.
• Thorough and complete knowledge of the construction process and management techniques, methods, and materials.
• Proficient in the use of advanced functions in CostX to produce estimates, bills, etc.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint) at an appropriate level.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Organized and detail oriented.
