THE WORK:
  1. Prepare Independent Cost Estimates (ICE) during planning, design, and construction phases.
  2. Review and finalize Engineer’s estimates, considering project constraints.
  3. Develop detailed cost estimates from plans or drawings, including labor, materials, and equipment.
  4. Generate Constructability Reports to identify design issues and support budgeting.
  5. Reconcile ICEs with third-party estimates and communicate outcomes.
  6. Analyze bids to align with internal projections.
  7. Identify cost influencers and field equipment needs.
  8. Present estimates and lead negotiations with contractors.
  9. Prepare material take-offs and detailed cost breakdowns.
  10. Maintain historical cost data for future estimates.
  11. Review contracts and modifications for fair cost allowances.
  12. Lead and support change order negotiations.
  13. Ensure contractual compliance and fair pricing.
  14. Work onsite with clients to enable delivery and build relationships.

Salary: $160,727 - $176,800 per year. Compensation varies based on factors like location, role, skills, and experience. We comply with local laws and provide a reasonable salary range where applicable.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • 10+ years of estimating experience in engineering and construction projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.
  • Certified estimating professional credential required.
