Job summary

Davis, Bowen & Friedel, Inc. (DBF) is seeking a CAD Technician to support the design and drafting of infrastructure and residential projects, including water, wastewater, drainage, and streets, using AutoCAD.

The role emphasizes problem-solving, reliability, and collaboration with engineers and surveyors. This is an in-person position only with opportunities for growth and hands-on experience in a diverse project portfolio.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Knowledge of site design, grading, and drainage
• Experience with Carlson Precision 3D or Civil 3D preferred

Responsibilities

• Utilize the latest design software to accurately render and communicate design, plans, and other necessary related systems and structures.
• Perform analyses and calculations according to project requirements.
• Coordinate with engineers and surveyors regarding model accuracy, drafting standards, and design documentation.
• Prepare project documentation for client submittal.
• Use feedback to modify existing designs and develop solutions.
• Provide timely technical assistance.
• Handle multiple projects and/or tasks simultaneously.
