Wausau Supply Company is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Architect focused on network and backup infrastructure to design, implement, and support our core IT systems.

You will lead enterprise LAN/WAN, VPN, SD-WAN, security, DR planning, and vendor management, collaborating with executives to align technology with business goals and risk controls.

Strong communication and mentorship of IT staff are essential as we modernize a multi-site environment and pursue compliant, resilient operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in CS/IT.
• 7+ years building enterprise network and backup systems.
• Experience designing multi-site LAN/WAN, VPN and cloud networking.
• Strong vendor management and contract negotiation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain network and backup infrastructure architecture.
• Lead enterprise LAN/WAN, wireless, VPN, SD-WAN and cloud networking design.
• Ensure security, high availability, and performance of services.
• Oversee vendor relationships and SLAs.
