Job summary

The Texas Rangers are seeking an experienced Infrastructure, Applications, and Data Platform Engineer to design, administer, and secure core infrastructure, identity services, enterprise applications, databases, and data platforms. This role blends infra, DB, app mgmt, and data platform engineering.

Responsibilities include high-availability SQL Server, RDS, PostgreSQL, Tableau, and data governance; hands-on tasks span performance tuning, disaster recovery, security controls, and vendor

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in a related technical field.
• 3-5 years of related experience required.
• Experience with SQL Server, Windows Server, File Services, VMware/Hyper-V, Tableau Server.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary DBA for SQL Server environments and ensure high availability.
• Manage SQL Server installations, upgrades, and patching.
• Administer PostgreSQL, AWS RDS, GCP databases, and Tableau Server.
• Develop and enforce database security, governance, and disaster recovery.
• Support data integration, ETL processes, and enterprise applications.
• Coordinate with application teams and cybersecurity for secure platforms.
