Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an onsite Storage Engineer to join a government consulting firm based at Fort Belvoir, VA. The role focuses on reliable enterprise storage infrastructure, data protection, and proactive maintenance within a mission-critical federal program.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of storage experience (SAN/NAS), expertise with replication and snapshots, and readiness to work in a security-cleared environment. US work authorization required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years managing enterprise storage environments (SAN/NAS).
• Experience with replication, snapshots, RAID, provisioning, and LUN/volume management.
• Experience with Linux and/or Windows servers with attached storage.
• Proven knowledge of backup/recovery technologies and concepts.
• Ability to monitor health, troubleshoot performance, and implement corrective actions across storage/server platforms.
• Eligible to work in the United States and obtain/maintain TS/SCI clearance.

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an onsite Storage Engineer to join a government consulting firm supporting a mission-critical federal program based in Fort Belvoir, VA. Responsibilities of the Storage Engineer Includes:

• Manage enterprise data storage infrastructure to ensure system reliability, scalability, and optimal performance
• Partner with infrastructure and security teams to support data protection initiatives and storage architecture improvements
• Investigate and resolve infrastructure issues impacting storage availability, recovery operations, or application performance
• Support lifecycle management activities, including platform enhancements, capacity planning, upgrades, and maintenance efforts
• Identify opportunities to streamline operations through automation and proactive monitoring practices

Qualifications of the Storage Engineer Includes:

• 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise-level storage environments and technologies, such as SAN and/or NAS platforms
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Experience with replication, snapshots, storage performance tuning, RAID configuration, storage provisioning, LUN/volume management
• Experience supporting Linux and/or Windows servers with attached storage
• Working knowledge of enterprise backup and recovery technologies and concepts
• Ability to proactively monitor infrastructure health, troubleshoot performance concerns, and implement corrective actions across storage and server platforms
• Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government TS/SCI Clearance

Compensation of the Storage Engineer includes:

• Salary range: $130,000 - 140,000 (based on experience)
