Job summary

Teledyne Imaging Sensors in Camarillo, CA is seeking an Epitaxy Growth Engineer to advance MBE growth of HgCdTe wafers for infrared focal plane arrays. You will own MBE tool usage from planning to post-growth characterization and help drive process improvements for yield and throughput. The ideal candidate has hands-on MBE growth experience in III-V or II-VI semiconductors, knowledge of device physics, and a PhD or MS in Engineering or Physics.

U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on expertise with MBE growth of semiconductors is required.
• Experience maintaining and repairing MBE tools in a lab setting.
• Background in opto-electronic devices, optics, and related methods.
• PhD or MS in Engineering, Physics, or related field; US citizenship required.

• MBE growth production and characterization of HgCdTe wafers.
• Own tool use planning, maintenance and growth design; post-growth analysis.
• Innovate growth/characterization techniques for yield and throughput.
