Job summary

SpatialGIS is seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Herndon, VA. You will architect, scale, and maintain resilient systems that support high-volume data alerting in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include designing scalable infrastructure on AWS and Kubernetes, implementing Terraform IaC, and building robust networking and messaging solutions with RabbitMQ and Kafka. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize CI/CD and security practices.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, AWS, EKS, EC2, and S3.
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Experience with high-throughput messaging platforms like RabbitMQ and Kafka.
• Solid routing and DNS design experience.
• Proficient in Grafana, logging frameworks, and alerting systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable, resilient infrastructure on AWS and Kubernetes.
• Implement and manage IaC using Terraform.
• Develop robust networking, DNS, and messaging architectures for large data streams.
• Enhance observability with Grafana, logging and alerting tools, and incident response.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve CI/CD and security practices.
