Job summary

DLA Careers is seeking an IT Specialist (INFOSEC/SYSADMIN) to lead IT and information management at the Maxwell AFB site. You will oversee SATCOM systems, radio networks, and RF-over-fiber architectures, while delivering full IT support for desktops, VoIP, and VTC in a high-security environment.

The role requires specialized experience and a TS clearance with SCI/SAP access, and includes readiness for potential deployment and security screenings as a condition of employment.

Qualifications

• One year of specialized experience in designing, integrating, and managing complex telecommunications systems including SATCOM (Ku-band), HF/VHF/UHF radio networks, RF-over-fiber architectures, and high-availability transport networks.
• Experience providing full IT systems administration for desktops, laptops, VoIP, VTC, and network equipment while ensuring operational readiness.
• Experience developing long-range telecommunications strategies, continuity plans, and lifecycle sustainment.

Responsibilities

• Plans, analyzes, develop, and coordinate IT/telecommunications plans and contingency operations.
• Leads IT and information management system administration for the assigned site.
• Operates and maintains SATCOM Ground Entry Point (GEP).
• Provides full-spectrum support for desktops, laptops, VoIP, VTC, and mission-critical information systems.
• Manages SATCOM/HF/VHF/UHF radio networks and RF-over-fiber systems.
